Subject:The beginning of injustice
Time:10:20 pm
Injustice doesn't start when someone doesn't have enough money to hire a private lawyer to defend them against the death penalty. It starts in the small cases. Someone wants to take this or that away from you and you cant get an attorney. Someone claims you owe this amount or that and you don't have the wherewithal to defend yourself. This results in black marks on your record.

Now you have a Record.

Then, when the next injustice comes they look at your history and think they know it all.

The speech near the end of the movie. The one given by the LE protecting the bad guy. "If we get rid of him two more will spring up in his place."That's what you hear in real life.

Notice my entry about the corruption marshmellow speech I recently received.

(A musical glimpse at the city of austin without the help of the DOJ)

Ain't no love in the heart of the city,
Ain't no love in the heart of town.
Ain't no love, sure 'nuff is a pity,
Ain't no love 'cos you ain't around.
Lady, since you been around.

Ain't no love in the heart of the city,
Ain't no love in the heart of town.
Ain't no love, sure 'nuff is a pity, child
Ain't no love 'cos you ain't around.

(now listen)
Every place that i go,
Well, it seems so strange.
Without your love, lady, lady,
Things have changed.
Now that you're gone
Y'know the sun don't shine,
From the city hall, woman
To the county line, that's why

Ain't no love in the heart of the city,
Ain't no love in the heart of town.
Ain't no love, sure 'nuff is a pity,
Ain't no love 'cos you ain't around.
Woman! Woman!

I was checking out the myspace.com page for the 18 year-old kid who opened fire on a Fairfax, Virgina police station Monday.

Michael Kennedy was a member of the Carl Winslow Terrorist Organization here which is a reference to the police officer father on the 1990's sitcom Family Matters. Remember, the show with Steve Urkel? This actor also played a cop in the original Diehard movie.Read more...Collapse )

Subject:How to get a job by calling future boss "wimp"

George W. Bush can take it.

Maybe secret service are too quick to drag Alex Jones and others exercising their free speech out of the presence of George Bush. Tony Snow called him wimplike, but still snagged the White House Press secretary job.

"George W. Bush constantly invites trouble by giving the appearance of weakness on the domestic policy front, only to have political foes react in a way that makes him stronger. Begin with the wimp factor. No president has looked this impotent this long when it comes to defending presidential powers and prerogatives."
Snow calls Bush wimp

Current Music:I started a joke by the BeeGees

Subject:Scotty, the joke was on you
Time:05:26 pm
Current Mood:sadsad
I just read the
Washington Post editorial
on Scott McClellan which references the BeeGee song
" I Started a Joke."

I started a joke which started the whole world crying
But I didn't see that the joke was on me oh no
I started to cry which started the whole world laughing
Oh If I'd only seen that the joke was on me

The author of the article takes pity on 'Scotty'

When reporters fought with Ari, it was unstoppable force meeting immovable object; when they charged at Scotty, they were running over a human traffic cone.

This is a White House that, for the most part, deals with errors, misstatements and blatant untruths by simply refusing to acknowledge their existence. What "Mission Accomplished" banner? Which Social Security reform? Harriet who?

That's the political tactic that I mentioned in my Friday blog -presenting a lie as the truth.

I crossed paths with McClellan at his Mom's office here in Austin. I was at the State Comptroller's office where his mother is the State Comptroller of Texas. As I signed out, I saw Scott had signed in after me. Now that he's available maybe he'll help with her run for governor.

Subject:I learned something today.
Time:12:49 am
I read a book at work. I stayed late to finish it.

A young girl is pawed by the Lt. governor of her state, after he has had one too many. She tells her friends one of which leaks the information to a tabloid. Her grandmother tells her to make a statement claiming she was the one who had been drinking. Something like,

"I drank for the first time that night and misinterpreted events. I'm just a teenager. The Lt. Gov did nothing wrong. I'm sorry for any pain I may have caused his family."

The girl objects to being blamed & sacrificed to save this man. The grandmother doesn't want this man's political career ruined because of this mistake and the political party wounded. The grandma tells the girl she should have had more discretion. Kept her mouth shut. That taking the blame will solve the problem & end the media frenzy.

The credibility killing explanation is usually what the other side does without your permission. Done with a straight face. Except for when you can see the hint of a smile as they consider the pain they will cause you.

It was like talking to one of the people who fabricate the lies. For the first time, there was no pretense that the lie was the truth.

Lo, it was only a book.
